ALCOCK Patricia (Pat)

In the early hours after Boxing Day at Royal Stoke University Hospital, Pat Alcock (nee Gwendolyne Patricia Shenton) of Cheadle died aged 80 years after four and a half years of a painful and progressive illness. The beloved wife of John for almost 60 years, loving mother of Martin and Simon, dear Nan to Victoria, a dear mother-in-law, sister-in-law, cousin and auntie and a dear friend of many. She taught at Bishop Rawle School, Cheadle for 38 years and loved all the children, and their children and even their grandchildren.  Funeral Thursday 16th January. Private cremation followed by service of Thanksgiving at St. Giles the Abbot, Church St, Cheadle 12.30pm, no flowers but kind donations in lieu will be for St. Giles the Abbot Church or the Royal British Legion.

Suddenly on 8th January 2020 at the R.S.U.H., after a short illness, Ronald Thomas (Ron), aged 81 years of Cheadle, the ever devoted husband of the late Jeanette, treasured dad of Sandra and forever remembered with fondness by all his family and friends. Funeral Wednesday 29th January service at St. Werburgh’s Church, Kingsley at 2:15pm prior to cremation at Carmountside Crematorium at 3:15pm. Will those wishing to attend please meet at the above Church and disperse later. No floral tributes please by request, donations if desired for the British Heart Foundation or Cancer Research UK.

Peacefully at rest after a long illness, borne with dignity and courage, in the presence of his loving family, on Thursday 30th January. Peter, aged 80 years, was a popular character of Cheadle, and formerly of Froghall. Devoted husband of Joy; loving dad of Neil, Paul and Louise; a dear father-in-law of Carol, Lisa and Paul;  very proud grandad of Isobel, Liam, Devlan, Molly, Emma, Callum, Nathan and Niall; and loving brother and uncle. Gordon Leonard, aged 78 years, loving husband of Yvonne and a wonderful family member and friend, sadly passed away peacefully after an illness, fought with bravery and hope at the Royal Derby Hospital on Saturday 1st February.  The funeral will take place at St. Michael’s Church, Rocester at 2:00pm on Friday 6th March followed by cremation at Stafford Crematorium.
