AMISON William Arthur (Bill)

Peacefully at rest on Saturday 18th April 2020 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.  Bill of Forsbrook.  Loving and devoted Partner of Evelyn, cherished Father of the late Paul and a treasured Father-in-law of Julie.  Bill will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends.  Due to the sad current circumstances a private cremation will take place at Stafford crematorium, at a later date a service of remembrance will take place.  Family floral tributes only please, donations if desired for the care of the British Red Cross.

BOOTH Maureen

Suddenly on 19th May 2020 at her home in Cheadle, Maureen aged 75 years, the loved and devoted wife of Colin, much loved mum of Sarah, loved mother in law of Phil, treasured nan of Ben and Jackson, and a dear sister, sister in law and auntie. It is with sadness that a service cannot take place at Maureen’s place of worship due to the current government regulations, instead a private service at the crematorium will take place with a memorial service announced at a later date.

BOWERS Ivan

Peacefully at rest, after a long illness fought with great courage and dignity, on Thursday 14th May 2020 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, Ivan, aged 73 years of Cheadle and formerly of Tean. Devoted Husband of June, loving Dad of Wayne and Joann, much loved Grandad of Yasmin, Laura and Liam (Lee), treasured Great Grandad of Neive and best friend of Polly.  Ivan will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Craven and Joe Chadwick, the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and the Royal Stoke University Hospital. Due to the sad current circumstances a private cremation will take place at Carmountside Crematorium.  No mourning attire. Family flowers only please, donations if desired for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

BRASSINGTON Wendy

Peacefully after a short illness on the 25th of April 2020 at her home in Kingsley, Wendy aged 64 years, the beloved and devoted wife of Stephen, much loved mum of David and Hayley, loved mother in law of Kayleigh and Gaz, a treasured nana and a dear sister, sister in law and auntie who will be dearly missed.  It is with sadness that a service cannot take place at Wendy’s place of worship due to the current government regulations, instead a private graveside service will take place with a memorial service announced at a later date.

BRYAN June

At rest on 1st May 2020 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, June Ann, aged 76 years of Cheadle, the beloved wife of the late Frank, cherished mother of Antony, Nigel, Darren and the late Neil, much loved mother in law of Dawn and Anna, a treasured nan of Chris, Charlotte, Natalie, Matthew, Ricky, Demi and Lily, a great nan and a dearest sister, sister in law and aunty. It is with sadness that a service cannot take place at June’s place of worship due to the current government regulations, but a private cremation will take place.  Family floral tributes only please, donations if desired for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice. 

BURTON Eric

At rest on Tuesday 21st April 2020 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, Eric Hugh, aged 86 years of Cheadle, cherished uncle of Margaret and dearly loved by John, David, Wayne, Tracey, Sarah, Cinnamon, Max, Holly and Tom. Eric will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.  Due to the sad current circumstances a private service will be taking place at Carmountside Crematorium.  Family floral tributes only please, donations if desired for Moorlands Home Link.

BYATT Pat

At peace on 27th April 2020 at her daughter’s home in Cheadle surrounded by her loving family. Patricia (Pat) aged 77 years. The devoted and loved wife of the late Roy, a much loved mum, mother in law, nannan, sister, aunty and a friend to many.It is with sadness that a service cannot take place at Pat’s place of worship due to the current government regulations, instead a private graveside service will take place with a memorial service announced at a later date Flowers are welcome at this time, donations may be collected at a later date in Pat’s memory

BYATT Vera  ( Nee Hollinshead )

At peace on 3rd May 2020 in the care of St. Quentin’s Residential Home, Newcastle, Vera aged 90 years of Cheadle. Loved and devoted wife of 70 years of the late Stan, dearly loved mother of George, loved mother-in-law of Glenys, treasured grandma of Maxine and Lee and a cherished great grandma of Benjamin. It is with regret that due to the current Government guidance there will be a private service held at the Crematorium.  Family flowers only please, donations if desired for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

COTTERILL Rodney Stewart  (Rod)

At rest peacefully on Easter Sunday, 12th April 2020, Rod, aged 79 years.  The loving and much loved husband of Patricia, cherished Dad of Lisa, Marc, Dawn, Sharon and Donna, a dear Father-in-law, treasured Grandad and Great Grandad.  Rod’s family are “so very thankful to have shared his ‘Living Years’ filled with so much love and laughter. x” Private funeral in line with the current government guidance. Family flowers only, donations if desired for The Alzheimer’s Society and the Cystic Fibrosis Holiday Fund.

DEAVILLE Peter  Matthew  (Pete)

Peacefully at rest on Friday 17th April 2020 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.  Pete aged 73 years of Cheadle.  Husband of Pamela and a dear friend.  Pete will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends.  Due to the sad current circumstances a private cremation will be taking place.  Family floral tributes only please, donations if desired for the care of The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.

GILLAM Jeanne Rose  (Jan)

Peacefully at rest on Tuesday 28th April 2020 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.  Jeanne aged 85 years of Kingsley, formerly of Seattle, USA and London.  Devoted Wife of the late Keith, loving Mum of Debbie and Tracy, cherished Mother-in-law of Adrian and the late Dave and a treasured Grandma of Daniel, Lydia, Alex and Niamh.  Jeanne will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family and friends.  Due to the sad current circumstances a private cremation will take place at Carmountside Crematorium.  Family floral tributes only please, donations if desired for the care of Cheadle Animal Welfare.

Peacefully at rest at her home in Cheadle, Jacqueline aged 59 years, the devoted and much loved wife of Roy, and a loving and cherished mum of Nick and Hannah, loved mother in law, daughter, sister, sister in law and daughter in law.It is with regret that due to the current government guidance there will be a private service held at the Crematorium. OAKES William John  (John)

Peacefully at rest on Monday 27th April 2020 at his home in Whiston. John aged 79 years of Whiston formerly of Meir Heath and Forsbrook. A dear Husband of Christine, Loving Dad of Kerry and Karen, cherished Grandad of Adam, Amy, Brian, Katie, Luke and Ava and a treasured Brother of Jennifer and the late Roy. John will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends. Due to the sad current circumstances a private burial will take place at St. Mildred’s Churchyard, Whiston. Family floral tributes only please, donation if desired for the care of the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

SNOW Anthony John (Tony)

Tragically on Sunday 12th April 2020 at his home in Cheadle, Tony, aged 69 years, the devoted husband of the late Carol, adored dad of Damion, much loved father in law of Lisa, treasured gangan of Amelia and Ben and a dear brother and brother in law. Tony will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. It is with regret that due to the current Government guidance there will be a private service held at the Crematorium.

TATE Maurice

Sadly at rest on Monday 11th May 2020 at The Royal Stoke University Hospital, Maurice aged 86 years of Tean. A devoted Husband of Jean, loving step Father of Ian and Julia, cherished step Father in law of Janet and Andrew, treasured Grandad of Lydia and Madeline and a dear Brother of Robert, Jean and Marion. Maurice will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends. Due to the sad current circumstances a private interment will be taking place at Cheadle Cemetery. Family floral tributes only please, donations if desired for the care of The British Heart Foundation.

THORLEY Margaret

At rest on 25th April 2020, Margaret Constance, aged 89 years formerly of Cheadle, the beloved wife of the late Bill, much loved mum, treasured gran and great gran and a dear aunty.  It is with regret that due to the current Government guidance there will be a private graveside service.

TONGUE Cheryl

Sadly passed away on Wednesday 29th April 2020, the beloved wife of the late Graham.Cheryl will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. It is with sadness that due to the current circumstances a private burial will take place at Cheadle Cemetery.  Family floral tributes only please, donations if desired for Motor Neurone Research.

WRIGHT Frederick (Fred)

Peacefully at rest on Thursday 23rd April 2020 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.  Fred aged 96 years of Cheadle, formerly of Tean.  Loving and devoted Husband of the late Alice and a dear Uncle of Shaun, Pat, Ivan, Kevin and Gillian.  Fred will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family and friends.  Due to the sad current circumstances a private cremation will take place at Stafford crematorium.  Family floral tributes only please, donations if desired for the care of the Cancer Research UK and Midlands Air Ambulance.
