After a long illness, peacefully passing away on 6th August 2019 in the presence of her three loving daughters, Susan Marilyn, aged 77 years of Westwood Park Drive Leek, beautiful mum of Karen, Julia and Deborah and devoted Nannie Sue of Rebecca, Emily, Daniel, Jemma, Marcus and Jude. Funeral Tuesday 20th August service at St. Luke’s Church, Leek at 11:30am followed by interment at Leek Cemetery. BEVANS Stephen

Stephen. Bevans, aged 38 of Newcastle under Lyme tragically died at 10.45 pm, on Wednesday the 7th of August2O1r9, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Rural Staffordshire.  Stephen was born on the 9th of August 1980, and lived for most of his life in Cheadle Staffordshire, before moving to the Newcastle under Lyme area with his parents three years ago.  He is survived by his Mother and Father, Angela and Bob Bevans, brothers Robert, Joseph, Nephews Oliver, George, Stanley, Niece’s Jasmine, Ava, God children Kera, Liam and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Stephen and Nellie Bowler, George and Gladys Bevans and Aunt Josie (Godmother). Service will be held at 11.20 am, on Friday the 30th August 2019 at Bradwell Crematorium, Chatterley Close, Newcastle under Lyme, ST5 8LE.  Friends old and new are asked to join the family for the service at Bradwell and afterwards for refreshments, at nearby Wolstanton Golf Club, Dimsdale Old Hall, Hassam Parade Wolstanton, Newcastle under Lyme, ST5 9DR.  Friends are asked to dress brightly (No black), football/rugby tops most welcome. Family Flowers Only. Donations in honour of Stephen, will go to the University Hospital of North Midlands, Royal Stoke Children’s Services.

BYATT Tom

Wilfrid Thomas (Tom) Byatt, aged 99 years of Oakamoor and former teacher at Portland House and Holden Lane, died on 30th July 2019 at the R.S.U.H.,with his daughters by his side. The beloved husband of the late Frances Elizabeth, dearly loved father of Anne, Katherine and Len, a dear father in law and much loved grandad and great grandad. Reception into St. John’s R. C. Church, Alton, ST10 4AJ on Wednesday 21st August at 5pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday 22nd August at 11am followed by interment at St. Mary’s R. C. Churchyard, Cresswell. Peacefully at rest on Friday 6th September 2019 at Beech Lodge Nursing Home, June aged 81 years of Cheadle and formerly of Freehay. Loving mum of Sue, Julie, Craig, Steven, Clare and the late Carol, special nan, great nan, sister, aunt and friend. June will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her family and friends. GRIFFITHS Ronald

Ron Griffiths of Cheadle (formerly of Chesham, Buckinghamshire and Balham, London) died peacefully surrounded by his family on 13th August 2019 aged 73 years, after a long illness that was fought with courage and dignity. He was a devoted and adored husband of Pat, cherished Dad of Luke and Simon, much loved father in law of Gill and Georgie, treasured Grandad of Chanaé, Callum and Amy, and a dear brother, brother in law and uncle.  Funeral Thursday 5th September 2019 service and cremation at Carmountside Crematorium at 3pm.  No floral tributes by kind request. (Nee Porter) Bessie (Betty) from Cresswell, Draycott who passed away peacefully at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice aged 106 years with her loving family at her side. Dearly loved wife of the late William (Bill), loving mother to Graham, Bob, Susan, the late Barbara and Roy. Loved Mother in law to Rosina, Barry, the late Valerie and Malcolm, also Ken respected partner to Susan.
